The Nine Aspirations of the Peer Mindfulness Collective

These are not rules, and do not need to happen in any order, but they are small suggestions that we can strive toward to help regulate our nervous systems and create a better world. You can also pick some for the week or month to focus on:

  1. I pause, reclaim the present moment, and listen for what I need to feel nourished.
  2. I notice the thoughts and stories I focus on and explore what else could be true.
  3. I give myself permission to move at a pace that allows for rest, play, self-expression, and moments of beauty.
  4. I choose community over isolation.
  5. I directly address disagreements with curiosity, non-judgmental language, and healthy boundaries when it is safe to do so.
  6. I take on meaningful challenges that benefit my future.
  7. I increasingly embrace habits, relationships, and environments that improve my well-being.
  8. I balance my self-care with supporting my neighbors and the natural world.
  9. I believe in my inherent dignity and worthiness just as I am.
